Missed It, By A Decade

Indiana High School Basketball in March means close games, buzzer-beaters, and lots of excitement.

No doubt the Snider Panthers and their fans were excited by defeating Northrop to win their first Sectional title since 2009.

Fort Wayne's NBC (aka WPTA 21.2) shared the excitement, but seems to have trouble writing a correct headline, leaving out a word in the body copy, and bobbling the date of the Panther's last Sectional title...by a decade.

Snider Panthers pounces to Logansport Regional
6

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - After fending off a strong second half surge by the Northrop Bruins, it is the Snider Panthers (18-6) who are sectional champions for the first time, since 2019, and are pouncing at a chance to damage in the Logansport Regional..

According to the Journal-Gazette story:

Snider (19-6, 7-2 SAC), a team that had already won on two spectacular buzzer-beaters and had claimed a two-point victory in the SAC tournament semifinals, won 59-56 for its first sectional title since 2009.
