The Highlight Zone Missed The Story

Those Friday night high school sports highlight shows do a great job capturing student-athletes in action, but they missed an important story Friday night involving what appears to be hideous and possible sanctionable actions of a Snider assistant coach, taunting an opposing team's athlete.

While the Media Maven understands that covering sports isn't "real" journalism and is primarily a profit generator for our struggling TV stations, it would be nice if someone would please address this on the air.

The IHSAA's Bobby Cox has championed a sportsmanship campaign for athletes, fans, and coaches for the past few years. Apparently the Snider coaching staff missed that. 

The Maven would ask Glenn Marini (one of the good guys) if is this the face of Sportsmanship?
